Meet Our Host, Emcee and Dancers

HOST 2009-2010:
Preston Pearson played in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 years. He began his career with the Baltimore Colts in 1967, was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1970 and finished his career with the Dallas Cowboys from 1975-1980. Preston played in five (5) Superbowls (with 3 different teams) during his 14 year NFL career. He wore the #26 jersey throughout his NFL career.

During his tenure with the Dallas Cowboys, Preston was known as Mr. Third Down.
Preston wrote a book in 1985 entitled "Hearing The Noise" about his life in the NFL - published by William Morrow & Co. Preston designed and marketed the "original" Dallas Cowboys Bandana that was introduced to the fans at Texas Stadium during the 1979 season.
He utilized his creative expertise to design the “Smiles Caricatures” program for 7-11 Southland Corporation. They were caricatures of several Dallas Cowboys players and coaches that were displayed on the 7-l1 Big Gulp cups. The Collector’s Cup Program was so well received in the DFW area - it was then expanded to several other NFL teams and players.
Preston is a native of Freeport, Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois. He played basketball for the Illini - not football.
Since his retirement from the Dallas Cowboys in 1981, he has been involved in business as a professional sports announcer and sports marketing.
Preston was Co-Host of "Gameday" and "Instant Replay" with Brad Sham on KRLD 1080 in Dallas for 10 years. He hosted the Cowboys Pre and Post Game shows on KTCK 1310 through the '97 NFL Season. Preston produced and hosted several on-site Cowboys Talk and Interview shows at Dallas area restaurants from 1992-2001. During the 2002 and 2003 season
he hosted a weekly Sports Entertainment show on Fox Sports Radio.
Preston is President and 50% partner of Pro-Style Associates, a sports promotion and marketing firm located in Dallas. Jeremy Anderson:
There are a few things that Jeremy will openly fight for. The heart of a woman (even if he has to do it on national television) and Texas Longhorn football. His passion for longhorn athletics led him to playing baseball at UT Austin where he graduated with a B.S. in biomechanics. Deciding against medical school, he chose to pursue an alternate path at SMU Dedman School of Law where he received his law degree. It was just a few days after taking the Texas bar exam that he found himself amongst 25 guys competing for the affection of one woman on ABC's The Bachelorette. Millions of viewers watched in shock as Jeremy was sent back to Dallas without DeAnna Pappas who instead chose a quirky snowboarder she dumped 6 weeks later. All was not lost as that same day Jeremy found out he passed the bar exam! Since then, he has dusted himself off in his second year as an associate in commercial litigation at an international law firm here in Downtown Dallas and has been keeping his eye out for the one who will capture his heart off the screen. In the last year since the show Jeremy has turned down several TV offers citing a desire for stability and "reality" in his life. Perhaps we will see why it was a wise choice for Mr. Anderson, who once painfully danced the foxtrot in Frank Sinatra's house in Palm Springs in front of millions, not to go on ABC's Dancing with Stars!

Angie Barrett has served as a director on numerous boards including The Family Place (shelter for battered families), Bryan's House (care for HIV positive children), Baylor Health Care Systems Foundation, Dallas Summer Musicals, Children's Cancer Fund, TACA, North Texas Food Bank and the National Committee for the Performing Arts (benefiting the Kennedy Center). She is a member of several organizations such as the American Heart Association, Women's Guild, Presidential Trust, Dallas Symphony Orchestra League, Executive Committee of Share Our Strength, Alexis De Tocqueville Society, Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary, Genesis Women's Shelter Allicance, Dallas Theater Guild, Women's Auxiliary of NEXUS Recovery Center and Women's Board of the Dallas Opera. For her participation in charitable activities, Angela has received several awards such as The Philanthropic Award given by the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. She has served on the advisory boards of the Child Care Group, Love for Kids, Junior League, Family Gateway, and American Foundation for AIDS Research. She has chaired several fundraising events including "Two by Two" for Aids and Arts. She was most recently the host and executive producer of a weekly lifestyle television show. Angie is proud of her daughters, Alana and Whitney.

Dr. Erwin Cruz MD, completed his Residency and Fellowships training at the University of Tulane Medical School and Baylor College of Medicine.
